The Erasmus Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective, organized, and academically aligned management of student and faculty mobility under the European Union Erasmus+ program. This includes coordinating both incoming and outgoing student processes in academic and administrative terms, according to the academic calendar.
Information and Promotion Activities:
Organize informational meetings about the Erasmus+ program for students and faculty, and provide information about the application requirements and timeline.
Application and Selection Process:
Collect applications for Erasmus study and internship mobility, ensure all required documents are completed accurately, and manage the selection process based on fair criteria, including scoring and evaluation.
Course Equivalency Planning:
Ensure that the courses students will take at foreign universities align with the department's curriculum, and assess and approve the Learning Agreement (LA) documents for academic compatibility.
Academic Monitoring of Students:
Monitor the academic success of students participating in the Erasmus process, and manage course equivalency and grade conversion upon their return.
Processes for Incoming Students:
Provide support in course selection, academic advising, and integration processes for incoming foreign Erasmus students.
Coordination with the International Office:
Maintain constant communication with the University's International Relations Office to ensure that departmental processes are aligned with the central office.
Monitoring and Updating Bilateral Agreements:
Ensure that bilateral agreements with foreign universities under Erasmus are up-to-date in terms of duration, content, and department alignment, and propose new agreements where necessary.
Academic Advising Role:
Serve as the academic advisor for students going on Erasmus, guiding them in academic planning and ensuring it aligns with their Erasmus period.
Statistics and Reporting:
Regularly report data on participant numbers, partner institutions, types of mobility, and success rates to the International Office and prepare internal departmental reports.
Cultural Integration and Guidance:
Provide orientation support to incoming students regarding campus, city, and department; participate in activities that enhance cultural integration.
