Purpose:
The Social Activities Committee organizes the planning, announcement, and execution of social events to support the social, cultural, and professional development of students and to increase the sense of belonging within the department.
Duty Description and Responsibilities
Event Planning:
Planning events such as seminars, panels, technical trips, interviews, film screenings, tournaments, alumni meetings, etc., that will contribute to the social and cultural development of students according to the annual/semester calendar.
Coordination of Events:
Providing communication with academic staff, speakers, alumni, or institution representatives who will take part in the events, and carrying out the necessary permission processes.
Cooperation with Student Clubs:
Planning joint events with student clubs affiliated with the department and encouraging projects that will increase student participation.
Announcement and Promotion:
Ensuring that planned events are announced to students and academic staff promptly, promoting events through tools such as posters, social media, and e-mail.
Technical and Cultural Trips:
Organizing technical trips to industrial establishments, fair visits, and cultural events to contribute to the development of students' professional and social aspects.
Collecting Event Feedback:
Collecting participant feedback after organized events and reporting it, and contributing to continuous improvement.
Communication with Alumni:
Creating environments where alumni can share their experiences with students by connecting with them (alumni talks, career days, etc.).
Reporting:
Archiving photos, attendance lists, and event reports of organized events and presenting them to department management.
