Purpose:

 

The Scholarship Committee is responsible for supporting the educational lives of financially disadvantaged and successful students by facilitating scholarship opportunities, evaluating applications, and coordinating with relevant institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Monitoring and Announcing Scholarships:

Track scholarship opportunities offered by the university, foundations, associations, the private sector, or public institutions, and announce them to students promptly.

 

Managing the Application Process:

Collect scholarship application forms, ensure their accurate and complete submission, and prepare students for the process through informative meetings if necessary.

 

Pre-Evaluation and Ranking:

Objectively evaluate scholarship applications based on pre-defined criteria (academic performance, financial situation, social circumstances, etc.) and determine priority rankings.

 

Interview Process (If Applicable):

When necessary, conduct individual interviews with students to gather additional information that may contribute to the evaluation process.

 

Coordination with Scholarship Providers:

Communicate with institutions, foundations, or individuals offering scholarships, share student lists, and manage the process transparently.

 

Monitoring and Reporting:

Track the academic progress of scholarship recipients each semester and monitor their compliance with scholarship requirements.

 

Encouragement Activities:

Organize informative and guidance activities to encourage qualified and in-need students to apply for scholarships.

 

Data Privacy and Fairness:

Maintain the confidentiality of personal and financial information obtained during the application process and ensure all evaluations are conducted in line with the principles of equality and fairness.
