Purpose:
The Internship Committee is responsible for planning, executing, evaluating, and supervising the internship processes carried out to ensure that students gain professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
Duty Description and Responsibilities
Determining the Internship Directive and Criteria:
Determining the department's internship principles in line with the relevant internship directive of the university, making the necessary updates, and announcing them to students.
Internship Application Process:
Evaluating students' internship applications, granting eligibility approval, and supervising the suitability of internship locations to the department's field.
Creating an Internship Calendar:
Creating an academic calendar for the internship application, approval, evaluation, and report submission processes, and announcing it on the department's web page.
Internship Evaluation Process:
To approve the validity of the internships by reviewing the students' internship notebook, workplace evaluation form, and reports, or, if necessary, to reject them.
Inspection of Internship Places:
When deemed necessary, contact the institutions where the internship is done to conduct an inspection and evaluation, to develop cooperation with the institutions.
Ensuring Compliance with Education:
To ensure that the internship studies are compatible with the theoretical courses, and to ensure that the students gain professional experience.
Information and Guidance:
To inform the students about the internship processes, to provide guidance on finding an internship place, and to cooperate with the career center.
Developing Institutional Cooperation:
To establish relations with the industry, public, and private sectors and to provide students with appropriate and quality internship opportunities.
Resolution of Objections and Problems Regarding the Internship:
To evaluate the objections, complaints, or problems received from the students or the institution and to offer solution suggestions.
